Anti-inflammatory foods: Can they be chosen to lower the heart diseases?


 

Heart diseases have become more common among people irrespective of their age. Some of the common heart diseases are Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Arrhythmia, Atherosclerosis and Heart Infections. One of the major causes of these heart conditions is imbalanced diet. People now-a-days are highly addicted to junk food and processed food.

Recent studies have found that, anti – inflammatory foods can be chosen to lower the risk of heart diseases and heart stroke. A wide variety of such foods contain anti-oxidants and vitamins can support a healthy heart and reduce the risk of heart diseases. Good news is that few research scientists found out that, elements like vitamins and carotenoids present in anti-inflammatory foods are capable of neutralizing the free radicals and reducing the stress on body. Some of the commonly used anti-inflammatory foods are:

  • Leafy Vegetables
  • Tomato
  • Eggs
  • Fatty Fish
  • Olive Oil
  • Fruits such as Oranges and Berries

Including the above foods in your daily diet will lead to a low risk of heart diseases. There is no single diet which includes anti-inflammatory foods- maintaining a well-balanced diet, avoiding processed foods and regular exercise can create and maintain a healthy heart.
